Who We Are

GFWC Virginia is a proud member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), one of the world's oldest and largest non-political, non-denominational organizations for women.

GFWC Virginia is a volunteer organization uniting 115 clubs in eight districts with 3068 members whose purpose is to provide service in our local communities, Virginia, and the world.

Members are at least 18 years of age and participate through both General and Junior Clubs. Juniorette Clubs, comprised of high school students, are sponsored and advised by a federated club.

What We Do

Members expended 257,543 hours in service to our communities in the areas of Arts & Culture, Civic Engagement & Outreach, Education & Libraries, Environment, Health & Wellness, Domestic & Sexual Violence Awareness, and Advocates for Children.  Monetary donations of $527,148 were made and in-kind contributions of $555,198 were given.

Clubs embraced the 2022-2024 State Project -  Education of Virginia’s Natural Resources, namely our flora and fauna, waters, soil and woods. Two 501(c)3 Virginia based foundations were adopted to support, Virginia Forestry Educational Foundation and the Virginia Wildlife Center.

The 2023 GFWC Virginia Annual Report is a compilation of the work of GFWC Virginia featuring District reports as well as award winners.
